Shop My House

See something you like while reading my posts?

Come on in and I’ll give you the tour, complete with sources!

Welcome to the Shop My House page! Since some items in my home are vintage, custom made, or no longer available, I have included pieces that resemble those pictured. Also, it is fun for me to browse and I included some things that I thought were cute for the space. Over time I will add more rooms. Hope you enjoy these few for now! Feel free to reach out with any questions or comments. Products I linked are shown as thumbnails under each photo. (This post contains affiliate links)

Bathroom #1

This is the bathroom on our first floor. It is long and narrow, much like our second bath. Originally it was just a half bath, but we used the closet from the adjacent bedroom to create a shower/tub combo. We opted to install mirrors as opposed to medicine cabinets for the sake of ease. Poor hubby was already maxed out with tasks. The floor, which isn’t pictured, is black 1″ hexagon mosaic tile with white accents. The bathroom overall is black and white with some brass fixtures and tiny pop of color from the art. We aimed to maintain a vintage vibe, suitable for the era of the home.

Breakfast Nook

This is our breakfast nook. In addition to eating breakfast here, we eat other meals (ha!), craft, color, write blog posts, and more. If you read the tutorial on making this seating, you know that I always wanted a nook like this! You can find that post filled with “before” photos and process shots HERE. In the product links I included a ready-made sort of banquette option and sectional banquette, either of which gives the same feel as this built-in version. I’ve also seen a very cool velvet version at West Elm. There are tons of options available now. Eventually I would like to add a bench cushion. When I do, I will definitely link that too!

Living Room Mural Wall

I decided to break the living room into sections because there is a lot going on! I started with this mural wall and I’ll eventually work over to our fireplace and seating. Across from this mural is a wall with large windows looking out to neighboring homes and in the distance there is tree line from a nearby park. To echo those trees, I chose this botanical, tree canopy sort of mural. Bonus- It was fairly easy to put up!

Thanks for reading! Is there a specific room yo’d like to see next? Or materials list? Favorite pillow round up? Drop me a line. Scroll down to subscribe, say hi in the comments, visit me over on Instagram, or all of the above!

  1. What a gorgeous home you have, Marie! I have always wanted a breakfast nook too and while I don’t have that, I have some lovely bench seating under the windows in the gallery upstairs. I love your mural and the bathroom mirror too – lovely accents everywhere!

    1. Thank you so much Katerina! Something about seating by a window is so pleasing to me. Sounds like you have created a cozy space! You’re so kind. I really appreciate your compliments 😊
