Baked Apples for Two

Super easy fall recipe. Perfect for last minute entertaining. A yummy dessert to serve for dessert.

Equipment

  • 2 Ramekins or other baking dish
  • 1 Baking sheet use if you don't have individual baking dishes

Ingredients

  • 2 apples increase amount as needed based on how many servings are needed
  • 1/8 cup sugar to split between apples
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon to split between apples
  • 2 tsp butter to split between apples
  • 1 tbsp walnuts (candied) optional to sprinkle on top
  • 2 dollops whipped cream or ice cream optional for serving

Instructions

  • Remove cores from apples. I used a paring knife and spoon but you can use an apple corer if you like.
  • Place apples in baking dish.
  • Fill apples with ingredients. The butter should melt down and make pan greased. Some recipes have you leave the bottoms intact and add about 3/4 cup of boiling water to the pan.
  • Bake at preheated 375 for 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Serve with vanilla ice cream or whip cream if you like.
