As the temperatures rise and summer fruits become abundant, it’s the perfect time to create a delightful salad that celebrates the best flavors of the season. In this blog post, we will share a recipe for a Refreshing Melon, Berry, and Mint Salad. Get ready to indulge in a burst of summer flavors with this simple and delicious recipe.
We first tasted this recipe at a potluck. I had never tried this combination of cantaloupe, strawberries and mint before. It was so delicious, I just had to recreate it at home. After adding a small countertop herb garden in our kitchen, I was excited to to use our fresh mint. I’ve made this recipe for gatherings and each time guests gushed over the presentation and taste.
Not only is this salad visually appealing, but it’s also packed with essential nutrients and antioxidants. At this stage in life busy with kids, I need quick an healthy recipes! It is super easy to make and works well with substitutions.

Gather ingredients and supplies.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of diced cantaloupe
- 1 cup of fresh berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or a combination)
- 1 tablespoon of fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
- Juice of 1 lime (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Prepare the Fruit for the Refreshing Melon, Berry, and Mint Salad Recipe.
Start by washing and removing seeds from the cantaloupe. Rinse the berries and pat them dry.
Slice the cantaloupe.
Slice the cantaloupe or other melon into bite size pieces.
Slice the strawberries.
Slice the strawberries. Place the diced melons and berries in a large bowl.
Add the Mint.
Take fresh mint leaves and finely chop them. Add the chopped mint to the bowl of fruit.
Optional step- Add a Dressing. To me this salad is perfect as-is, but if your fruit isn’t as sweet or flavorful as you expected, try this addition:
In a separate small bowl, squeeze the juice of one lime. If desired, add a tablespoon of honey for a touch of sweetness. Whisk the lime juice and honey together until well combined.
Combine and Toss: Drizzle the lime-honey dressing over the fruit and mint mixture. Gently toss the ingredients until all the fruit is coated with the dressing.
Chill and Serve: Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. Before serving, give the salad a final gentle toss. Garnish with a few fresh mint leaves.
